Narrated "The Art of Fashion" video for Neiman Marcus last week at Maximedia Dallas.
Margo, the writer/producer, was quite the fashion plate, beautifully dressed.
I wore my voice talent uniform: shorts and a T-shirt, with matching flip flops.

Thank you to Barry Brooks for casting me to voice a spot for the Medical University of South Carolina's "Heartmate" program; also worked with Randall Maxell on the Texas Dept. of Transportation's long term planning agenda for the state of Texas. And I always am thankful for Debora and Alison!

Phone system messaging- lots of IVR's- are keeping me busy lately as well as regular spots for Boot Barn, Buick and Jaguar of SoCal and various hospital systems and grocery store chains nationwide. Internet projects for Savasa Fitness and Chase Rewards were fun records as was narrating for CBS and a new episodic for the WE network, due out this Spring. But, I have to say, the best session lately was a series of radio spots for Notre Dame where I got to read with Hector Elizondo (SQUEAL!)-one of my favorite actors! He really is a true gentleman in person (re: SEXY!) and he has an amazing voice over presence.

I'm grateful for the call back from The Dish Network last week. After voicing a commercial late '09 with a western flavor pitching their "Professional Bull Riders" channel offerings, they produced a "jumbotron" commercial to be shown at "PBR" competitions.
The approach was for me to "speak" to the bull riding crowd with an air of western bravado. (In reality, I believe God never ment for those critters to be ridden!...crazy!

Recorded radio demo and video narration for a new business pitch on behalf of a really big ad agency going after a really big account. Can't say who or what. Non-disclosure, he signed. Now he's not sure why he brought it up. Gak! as kids say.

I enjoyed working with Debra Cole on some new radio ads for University of Illinois Employees Credit Union (UIECU) with Steve Jones and Concepts Unlimited agency...always a fun session! And I enjoyed stepping into the role of a focus-group leader last month for Personal Best, who are producing an online program for prospective college-bound student athletes. We had a great group from The University of Texas and Notre Dame taking part.
Outside of the "talent" world, I just completed working on my 26th season of Texas football, acting as game-day producer for the Longhorn Sports Network, at the BCS National Championship at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena CA.

Since all eyes are on Massachusetts, I thought you might be interested in the work I'm voicing for Scott Brown. This is Ted Kennedy's old seat and Scott Brown is now up 4 point just this morning! It's one heluva hot senate race. Turn on any news channel and you'll find them talking about it. Here’s the latest TV ad I voiced for him.

I'm also finishing up a 900 page audiobook which is a memoir about the author's 20 year close friendship with a major American celebrity (and favorite media "target"!) I'm not allowed to reveal who it's about or the title until the book is published in March
I'm just about to start a 60+ hour project narrating a math textbook for publishing giant Pearson.

Well, I still do the VO on that highly intellectual TV show, "Cheaters" every week. And after 7 years, I'm still asking "Neighbors, how long has it been since you had a hot steamin' bowl of Wolf Brand Chili?" Last couple of weeks, I did A/Vs for Boy Scouts of America, MetroPCS and Marriage Mentors, a political for a sheriff in Louisiana, and radios for Deseret Books and Imperial Sugar.
I do have a few availabilities this week, however.
